Expectations...

I had been waiting for the arrival of my daughter today. She were to arrive in the afternoon leaving her domicile this morning. Once at the ticket counter, the aircarrier "Continental Airlines(CA)" refused to honor her ticket which had already been paid and seating confirmation been issued on the grounds that she is only 14 yrs. of age and thus needs a "unacompanied fare" ticket. Basically this ticket is another ruse to get extra cash from the customer(me) on short notice and serves only as an "official" permit for the parent to accompany their child to the gate until departure.
Long story short with over 90 min. preparation time at the ticket counter in Las Vegas, neither the clerk nor the approaching superviser could manage to book the extra -nickel and dime- fare from the credit card and refused to take her on the already confirmed flight to New York. Causing my daughter to be dismissed from the flight. Add insult to injury, the airline issued a voucher valid 1 year saying that if she flies next year(her birthday is in June) she will be 15 at that time and doesn´t need an "accompanying fare". Of course, the airline wants to charge me another $150.- for "changing the flight date" once the voucher is presented even though they caused all this ruckus.
To add to the confusion, CA on theor 800 number mentioned that she(remember she is only 14 yrs old) can fly out at midnight and arrive in NY at 5:00 am, but only if I pay the "Extra fare", a promise that was flatly disputed at the ticket counter in Las Vegas.

Resumeé: Continental Air sucks bigtime, Customer service is nil, the superviser even refused to give his name when asked at least ten times, and insulted me by telling me to "shut up" repeatedly. My daughter has been bumped from this flight indefinetly, bar my extra payment of $150.- for the changed flight date and no recourse has been offered.

Anyone knows a lawyer specialised in this kind of treatment?

CA sucks bigtime, management of Continental Airlines is incompetent to the core, the superviser is a laughing stock to any earnest service oriented company in this country.
